Nasza relacja z naturą jest skomplikowana. Uprawiamy ziemię, a ziemia nas żywi. Wykorzystujemy ziemię, a ziemia pozwala nam się na niej osiedlać.

Eksploatujemy planetę, a ona daje nam swoje surowce i wodę. Podziwiamy zmieniające się piękno i hojność natury. My ją ujarzmiamy, niszczymy jej piękno, drenujemy jej zasoby, zatruwamy i gwałcimy. Tylko z rzadka manifestuje swoją potęgę - poprzez wybuchający wulkan, deszcze powodziowe, trzęsienia ziemi.

Kacper Kowalski z lotu ptaka obserwuje zmagania natury z cywilizacją. Rejestruje ją w abstrakcyjnych ujęciach - czasem malarskich, czasem graficznych, architektonicznych w swoim porządku i strukturze. Walka nie ma zwycięzców, a jej wynik - choć nienaturalny i nieludzki - jest zaskakująco piękny i harmonijny.

To wymaga oka artysty. Siła obrazów Kowalskiego polega na tym, że nasz zachwyt nimi wyprzedza zrozumienie tego, na co patrzymy.
