never-ending story


I don't know myself anymore if this place is unusual or if the people are unusual. Fortunately, we are in the middle of a pandemic. I lack the imagination to predict the appearance of this beach on an ordinary Saturday in August.

Today in Władysławowo it was like nothing ever happened. With cloudless sky the sun was mercilessly hot. Red flags on lifeguard towers announced the ban on swimming. Luckily there was a breeze just after noon, bringing relief to heated bodies hiding behind screens. There were also waves, which emitted a pleasant noise drowning out the whirr of engines and screams of door-to-door sales of beer and ice cream. Life itself. 

PS. And as a matter of interest. Last Monday I flew in Władek. After the publication of photos in one of the sites there were voices that it's fake, because someone was there and the beach was empty. And I guess that someone was right. Compared to today, indeed last Monday there were almost no people...
